PBR 2021 World Finals XXVIII – Day 3

One needs to remind oneself that the ride astride the bucking bull lasts only eight (8) seconds, yes a small fraction of a minute! But most athletes will tell you that these are like no other eight seconds!  The adrenal rush of trying to remain seated on the fiercely bucking beast while holding the riding rope with one hand & without touching the bull or oneself with the other is immense & is often felt by the cheering spectators!

The exhilaration of those eight seconds together with the joy of winning as well as, no doubt, the big money involved all make athletes return to the arena even after sustaining injuries!  Thus we see, for instance, Austin Richardson taking part in the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour championship only twenty-four days after surgery for a broken collar bone!

Mason Taylor came in first place in round 3 and the competition contiues.
